Stephanie Castlen is happy to have the opportunity to work with Katonah Presbyterian Church. Stephanie has an extreme passion for working with children of all ages and she looks forward to making connections not only with the children and youth of this congregation, but also with the church as a whole. Last year, she worked in Pittsburgh, at Crestfield Camp and Conference Center as a Confluence Intern and a Day Camp Program Coordinator. During that year, she worked in after school programs and youth groups to help encourage children to grow in their faith. Also, Stephanie worked at Holmes Presbyterian Camp and Conference Center for five summers. During her time there, she was a counselor, bakery coordinator, and Assistant Program Director. Holmes was the place where she truly fell in love with working with youth and felt inspired to help them grow in their faith. Stephanie graduated from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania with a degree in religion. Stephanie also has a passion to travel. While attending her home church, she traveled to El Salvador for a medical and theatrical mission trip two years in a row. She also spent a semester abroad in The Gambia, located in Western Africa. She has a love of learning about different cultures and she hopes that this will encourage and expand conversations amongst the children and youth. Stephanie is so excited to start her journey at Katonah Presbyterian Church.
