If this is your first visit we know you might have questions and we try to address some of the common ones below. If your questions are not addressed here, please feel free to call our office and ask.

What is is like at Katonah Presbyterian Church (KPC): Our mission (add link to mission statement here) states that we are an inclusive, vibrant, caring church family, nurtured and strengthened in faith, reflecting God’s love. This is what we are constantly striving towards. The atmosphere is informal, friendly and welcoming. Dress varies from casual to dressy.

What to wear: We encourage you to wear whatever is comfortable for you. There are some who like to dress up while others come more casual. We want to meet you no matter what is in your closet.

If you want to get connected: When you arrive there will be an Usher at the door handing out bulletins. They are there to welcome you and help you find a seat. They are also there if you have questions, need assistance or want to speak to someone more in depth. We have a Deacon on duty each Sunday and the Ushers can help you find them. There are also slips in the chairs in front of you and in the bulletin for you to fill out, drop in the collection plate and we will get in touch with you. If we notice you are new we might come over and say hello, please feel no pressure, we are just friendly folks. All are welcome to our coffee hour where you will find good people, good coffee and good treats. Please join us.

What the service is like: KPC has a traditional Presbyterian service which includes a music, a call to worship, hymns, prayer which are both silent and read together out loud, Scripture readings, a brief greeting, an offering, sharing of joys and concerns, and a Sermon. Lord’s Supper is in the service on the first Sunday of the month. ).
We have a wonderful choir and a stellar music director and very often have guest musicians join us.

Children are welcome: Children are always welcome during the service. We have coloring books to keep them busy during the service, but don’t mind a little joyful noise from the children. Many children attend the first part of the worship service with their parents and are invited to come to the front of the church for children’s time before leaving for church school. We know your children might find it difficult to join in and we are here to help them feel comfortable and are pleased to wait until they are ready.

We hope you will join us!
