Jesus promised to send his Spirit with us, but sent us out into the world, and warned that demons will be prowling about hungry to devour us. I don’t worry much about little red devils with pitchforks; instead, the scary demons are my own fears, selfishness, and resentment. Emotions are a gift to help us, but they can consume us if we don’t keep our Spirits soaring higher than the world. It’s time for a High Flight.
